LifeTech Industries, Inc. (LTCH) is addressing a very important, global problem: the lack of clean water.
Global demand for fresh water is increasing to the tune of 64 billion cubic meters a year, LTCH's Web site states. Even more startling is the fact that one out of every six people, or 1.1B people, lack access to safe drinking water, according to LTCH's Web site.
"LifeTech's technology is a perfect solution - one that will provide abundant quantities of drinking water to the world," said LTCH's CEO Benjamin Chung in a December 3 press release.
Producing 'perfect water'
LTCH's "AirWell System is a highly advanced Atmospheric Water Generator unit that produces perfect water by promoting and filtering the condensation of moisture from air," the company's Web site states.
The "technology is a critical solution to provide abundant quantities of drinking water to the world," LTCH's Web site states. "Retrieving moisture from the air is practical, accessible, readily available and virtually unlimited in supply for creating safe, secure, potable water that meets or surpasses the highest international standards for water quality"
According to LTCH's Web site, the water produced through AirWell: is "free of chemicals, hormones and other contaminants;" "has anti-aging properties;" and "increases immune function."
The technology is "scalable and can be developed to make customized units to service the water needs of a variety of industries" such as: shipping and boating; hotels and resorts; hospitals and schools, mining and drilling; government and military; spas and 'well being' facilities; and humanitarian organizations, the December 3 press release stated.

Proven technology
Tests performed by Hiroshima University researchers confirm the eradication of dangerous germs including E. Coli, the H1N1 virus (bird and swine flu), and the Feline Calicivirus by AirWell's purification system, a November 26 press release stated.
In addition, water produced by AirWell's Water System has been tested by Japan Food Research Laboratories and shown to meet and exceed the standards of the Water Supply Act. Test findings concluded, among others, a PH balance of 7.5 - levels optimal for human consumption.
"These findings prove the high quality mineralization of the water from AirWell Water Systems and clearly demonstrates our standard of water quality compared to other products and bottled water," said Dr. Hanya Toshio - inventor of the machine, in a November 26 press release.
Global opportunities
In mid-October, LTCH announced that it entered into a joint venture with Lifetech Japan Corporation ("Manufacturer"). Pursuant to the agreement, LTCH acquired the global exclusive right (excluding Japan) to make, use, sell or otherwise distribute the Manufacturer's atmospheric water generator (AWG) products and technologies. The agreement also granted LTCH an exclusive and perpetual license to any and all of the Manufacturer's patents, trademarks and all other intellectual property related to the Manufacturer's AWG products, as well as the global exclusive right (excluding Japan) to assign, sublicense or otherwise transfer such rights in the Manufacturer's technology to third parties, globally, an October 15 press release stated.
LTCH is currently focused on negotiating exclusive wholesale distribution partnerships and licensing agreements in countries and industries that fit into this strategy, the December 3 press release stated.
"Having the right plan of action will ensure that everyone, including our shareholders, will gain from our wonderful product," Chung said in the December 3 press release.
